My Story
I am a caretaker of people, ideas and stories. Everything I do as an executive coach and leadership practitioner is aimed at nurturing my clients, their ideas and their stories in an effort to help them live a life of impact and joy. I am the Principal of Tindall Avenue Coaching and a Partner at The Dignitas Agency, where I ask the question – “What needs to be in place for excellence” – then align interests and arrange people, processes and systems to design for success. I coach and consult with senior executives in global companies, leadership teams tackling their BHAG, non-profit stakeholders endeavoring to leave a lasting impact on the communities they serve, under-represented voices in leadership who find themselves stuck as they navigate dominant culture systems and challenging corporate structures, and emerging leaders who aspire to find their niche in helping to change the world. I'm known for being a patient listener who facilitates conversations that led to discovery and focused action. Through coaching, consulting, and workshops my clients develop more confidence, discover their purpose, leverage their newfound rejuvenation, establish new goals, become more engaged and find ways to move towards increased personal and professional success.
Business Impact: I employ my broad perspective and lived corporate experience as an executive, manager, stakeholder, and frontline employee to “meet clients where they are”, allowing our coaching relationship to start from a place of trust & vulnerability, which leads to an accelerated and magnified outcome. My approach – the enterprising & results-driven nature of a consultant with the inquisitive and exploratory approach of a coach – helps my clients confidently find more clarity, perspective and confidence in their personal & professional journey. Areas of Expertise: Through the lens of storytelling, I help clients connect with themselves, with others and with their “community” more authentically in an effort to be more influential. Using The Dignitas Agency Breakthrough Belief Competency Model™️, I teach people how to tactically transform limiting beliefs to breakthrough beliefs in order to create the results they want in their performance and in their life. Using elements of Knowetry Consulting’s Next Level Results Framework™️, I help teams achieve the desired results by helping them identify and resolve friction so that the organization moves further faster, in a sustainable way. I use the Intercultural Development Inventory™️ to enhance leaders’ cultural competence leading them to become more inclusive leaders who create equity, value diversity and build organizations where employees thrive. Experience: Prior to founding The Dignitas Agency (previously known as The Burrell-Taylor Leadership Institute) and Tindall Avenue Coaching, I was the President and General Manager for the Atlanta Dream where I was responsible for the strategic direction, risk assessment, and fiscal responsibility while overseeing all aspects of the business (including marketing, corporate social responsibility, business operations, finance, sponsorship, ticket sales and team operations amongst others). Before the Atlanta Dream, I spent 15 years in executive leadership positions in sports & entertainment, primarily with the National Basketball Association/Women’s National Basketball Association, where my focus on strategy, people and processes helped to successfully launch & develop a sustainable operations plan for the longest running professional sports league for women in the United States. While at the WNBA League Office, I co-designed and implemented a career transition program – delivered to 100% of the player population in 12 markets. Recent executive coaching, leadership development and cultural competency engagements: Charles Schwab, J.R. Simplot Company, Boise State University, St. Luke’s Health System, City of Boise, Boise Cascade, Proctor and Gamble, US Bank, City of Minneapolis, VMware, General Mills, 3M, Cargill, Medtronic, The Salvation Army and Lovevery. I am the host of “Unlocking the Club” a podcast where Black women can reclaim their space, share their stories and unlock their truth while allies are invited to listen deeply to our stories. I was a member of the Stanford Women’s Basketball 1990 NCAA Championship Team and a Team Captain on the 1992 NCAA Championship Team. I am also a Certified Food Tour Guide, founded a culinary experience company (Indulge Boise Food Tours) in 2016, and am a beginning golfer.
